Which one of the following statements is not correct about Rig-veda ?
- Rig-veda does not mention temples or the worship of images of deities.
- 'Rudra' is most frequently invoked God in the Rig-veda.
- 'Ushas', the goddess of the dawn, is mentioned 300 times.
- As for as funerary practices are concerned Rigveda refers to the both cremation and burial.

Answer: (2) 'Rudra' is most frequently invoked God in the Rig-veda.
సమాధానం: (2) ఋగ్వేదంలో రుద్రుని గురించి చాలా సార్లు ప్రస్తావించడం జరిగింది.
The most frequently invoked god of the Rig Veda is Indra (about 250 hymns), followed by Agni (about 200); Rudra is addressed in only a handful of hymns. So statement (2) is incorrect.
ఋగ్వేదంలో అత్యధికంగా స్తుతించబడిన దేవుడు ఇంద్రుడు (సుమారు 250 సూక్తాలు), తర్వాతి స్థానంలో అగ్ని (సుమారు 200) ఉన్నారు; రుద్రుని ఉద్దేశించిన సూక్తాలు కొన్ని మాత్రమే. కాబట్టి ప్రవచనం (2) సరికాదు.
