It covers General Mental Ability, General Science, Current Events of national and international importance, Indian Polity and Economy, History of India, and Indian and World Geography. A wrong answer costs one-third of the marks for that question. Paper II, General Studies, Essay and Comprehension, is descriptive and carries 200 marks.
