Direction : Decide whether the data provided in the two statements given under the question is sufficient to answer the question or not. Question : What is the age of A ? Statements : I. The age of A is twice the age of B and the age of C is 4 times the age of B. II. The age of D is 60 years and 1½ times the age of C. Give option :
- if the data in statement I alone is sufficient to answer the question;
- if the data in statement II alone is sufficient to answer the question;
- if the data in both the statements I and II together is sufficient to answer the question;
- if the data in both the statements I and II together is not sufficient to answer the question;

సమాధానం: (3) ప్రవచనం I & II లోని సమాచారం కలిసి ప్రశ్నకు సమాధానము ఇవ్వడానికి తగినదైతే ఐచ్ఛికం (3) అనీ;
From II, 60 = 1½ × C, so C = 40; from I, C = 4B gives B = 10 and A = 2B = 20 years. Statement I alone gives only ratios and II alone says nothing about A, so both are needed.
