A person has ₹ 25,000 to invest. There are two schemes in a bank. In scheme A, rate of interest is 12% per annum. In scheme B, rate of interest is 16% per annum. In scheme A interest is compounded annually where as in scheme B simple interest is given. How long (in years) should that person invest his money in scheme B, so as to get the amount equal to the amount he receives by investing his money in scheme A for 2 years ?

In scheme A the amount is 25,000 × (1.12)² = ₹ 31,360, so the interest is ₹ 6,360. In scheme B, 25,000 × 16/100 × t = 6,360 gives 4,000t = 6,360 and t = 1.59 years.
స్కీమ్ A లో మొత్తం 25,000 × (1.12)² = ₹ 31,360, కాబట్టి వడ్డీ ₹ 6,360. స్కీమ్ B లో 25,000 × 16/100 × t = 6,360 నుండి 4,000t = 6,360 మరియు t = 1.59 సంవత్సరాలు.
