    Answer: (1) frugal

"Lavish" means rich, elaborate and extravagant, with money spent generously and without counting the cost, as in "a lavish wedding". Its opposite is "frugal", which means sparing and economical, using only what is necessary, as in "a frugal meal". "Cheap" is tempting, but it means low in price or poor in quality rather than deliberately economical, and is not the standard antonym. "Decent" means acceptable or respectable, and "strange" means unusual; neither is opposite to lavish.
