The Red Fort at Delhi was built by Shah Jahan (1639-48), not Akbar; Akbar's major forts were at Agra, Lahore, Allahabad and Ajmer. Akbar did begin the jharokha darshan at sunrise and introduced the Ain-i-Dahsala (Zabti) revenue system in 1580.
