The regular wear and tear of fixed capital that is deducted from gross investment is called depreciation (consumption of fixed capital). Gross investment minus depreciation gives net investment, just as GDP minus depreciation gives NDP.
స్థూల పెట్టుబడి నుండి తీసివేసే స్థిర మూలధనపు క్రమమైన అరుగుదలను (wear and tear) తరుగుదల (Depreciation) లేదా స్థిర మూలధన వినియోగం అంటారు. GDP నుండి తరుగుదలను తీసివేస్తే NDP వచ్చినట్లే, స్థూల పెట్టుబడి నుండి తరుగుదలను తీసివేస్తే నికర పెట్టుబడి వస్తుంది.
