In India, Rastriya Madhyamika Shiksha Abhiyan was launched with a vision of:
- 'Malling secondary education of good quality available, accessible and affordable to all young persons in the age group of 15-16 years'.
- 'Raising the overall status of the girl-child and bringing about a positive change in the family and community attitudes'.
- 'To provide vocational training to non-literates as well as school drop-outs in rural regions by identifying skills that have a relevant market in the region'.
- An overarching program for the school education sector extending from pre-school to class 12 has been, therefore prepared with a broader goal of improving school education measured in terms of equal opportunities for schooling and equitable learning outcomes.
భారత దేశంలో, రాష్ట్రీయ మాధ్యమిక శిక్షా అభియాన్ ని ప్రారంభించిన ముఖ్య ఉద్దేశ్యం :
- 15-16 సంవత్సరములు వయసున్న యువతకు నాణ్యమైన విద్యను చేరువగా, అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకు రావడం.
- బాలికల విద్యాస్థాయిని పెంచడం మరియు కుటుంబం, సంఘం యొక్క ఆలోచనా విధానాన్ని మార్చడం.

Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, launched in March 2009, aimed to make good-quality secondary education available, accessible and affordable to all young persons by expanding and improving secondary schools. Option (4) describes Samagra Shiksha (2018), into which RMSA was later merged, and option (3) describes vocational schemes such as Jan Shikshan Sansthan.
