Justice Ajit Prakash Shah chaired the 20th Law Commission of India, which gave reports on electoral disqualifications (2014) and on electoral reforms (255th Report, 2015). The 1999 Law Commission report on electoral law reform came under Justice B.P. Jeevan Reddy, the 2001 Constitution review commission (NCRWC) was headed by Justice M.N. Venkatachaliah, and the Second ARC was headed by Veerappa Moily.
