₹ 1,29,000 is lent out in three parts for simple interest as follows. The first part is lent at 10% per annum for 6 years, the second part at 12% per annum for 4 years and the third part at 15% per annum for 3 years. If the total interest earned on each part is same, then sum of the first part and the third part (in rupees) is

Equal interest means P1 × 60% = P2 × 48% = P3 × 45%, so P1 : P2 : P3 = 1/60 : 1/48 : 1/45 = 12 : 15 : 16. One part = 1,29,000/43 = 3,000, so P1 + P3 = 28 × 3,000 = ₹ 84,000.
