A shopkeeper bought an article for ₹ 1,200 and sold it with a profit of 10% on credit basis such that the amount has to be repaid after 4 years with simple interest at the rate of 10%. Then the amount (in rupees) received by the shopkeeper at the end of the 4th year is

Selling price = 1,200 × 1.10 = ₹ 1,320; simple interest on it for 4 years at 10% = 1,320 × 10 × 4/100 = ₹ 528, so the shopkeeper receives 1,320 + 528 = ₹ 1,848. Option (1) is only the selling price, without the interest.
అమ్మకపు వెల = 1,200 × 1.10 = ₹ 1,320; దానిపై 10% చొప్పున 4 సంవత్సరాలకు బారువడ్డీ = 1,320 × 10 × 4/100 = ₹ 528, కాబట్టి దుకాణదారుడు పొందే మొత్తం 1,320 + 528 = ₹ 1,848. ఐచ్ఛికం (1) వడ్డీ లేకుండా కేవలం అమ్మకపు వెల మాత్రమే.
