A Can do a work in 6 days and B can do the same work in 9 days. A and B along with a third person C can finish that work in 3 days. If the total wages for the work is Rs. 24,000 then the wages of C is (in Rupees) :

In 3 days A does 3/6 = 1/2 of the work and B does 3/9 = 1/3, so C does 1 − 1/2 − 1/3 = 1/6. Wages are paid in proportion to work done, so C gets 24,000 × 1/6 = 4,000.
3 రోజులలో A పనిలో 3/6 = 1/2 వంతు, B 3/9 = 1/3 వంతు చేస్తారు, కాబట్టి C చేసే పని 1 − 1/2 − 1/3 = 1/6. చేసిన పనికి అనులోమానుపాతంలో వేతనాలు చెల్లించబడతాయి, కాబట్టి C కి 24,000 × 1/6 = 4,000 వస్తుంది.
