   A, B and C can finish a work in 20, 25 and 30 days, respectively. They start working together but B quits after working for 3 days. In how many days from the start shall the work be completed?

   1. 9 8/15 days
   2. 10 1/15 days
   3. 10 14/25 days
   4. 11 1/10 days

   A, B और C किसी कार्य को क्रमशः 20, 25 और 30 दिन में पूरा कर सकते हैं। वे एकसाथ कार्य प्रारंभ करते हैं किंतु B तीन दिनों तक कार्य करने के बाद कार्य को छोड़ देता है। यह कार्य आरंभ से कितने दिनों में पूरा हो जाएगा?

   Answer: (3) 10 14/25 days

   उत्तर: (3) 10 14/25 दिन

   Take the work as 300 units: A does 15, B 12 and C 10 units a day. In the first 3 days all three do 37 × 3 = 111 units; the remaining 189 units are done by A and C at 25 units a day in 189/25 = 7 14/25 days, so the total is 3 + 7 14/25 = 10 14/25 days.
