Pancha Siddhantika was written by Varahamihira (6th century CE), one of the "nine gems" associated with Vikramaditya; it summarises five earlier astronomical systems. He also wrote Brihat Samhita, while Aryabhata wrote the Aryabhatiya and Brahmagupta the Brahmasphutasiddhanta.
