The Austrian anthropologist Christoph von Fürer-Haimendorf, adviser on tribes to the Nizam's government, lived among the Raj Gonds at Marlavai village in Adilabad, and his and his wife Betty's memorial is in that village. Jodeghat is linked with Komaram Bheem's Gond revolt, not with Haimendorf's residence.
