All the faces of a cube of 24 cm edge are painted with red colour and then it is cut into smaller cubes of 3 cm edge. Then the difference of the number of cubes having no face painted and the number of cubes having exactly one face painted is

Each edge is cut into 24 ÷ 3 = 8 parts (n = 8). Cubes with no face painted = (n − 2)³ = 6³ = 216; cubes with exactly one face painted = 6(n − 2)² = 6 × 36 = 216. Difference = 216 − 216 = 0.
ప్రతి అంచు 24 ÷ 3 = 8 భాగాలుగా ఖండించబడుతుంది (n = 8). ఏ ముఖమూ రంగు వేయని ఘనాలు = (n − 2)³ = 6³ = 216; ఖచ్చితంగా ఒకే ముఖానికి రంగు ఉన్న ఘనాలు = 6(n − 2)² = 6 × 36 = 216. భేదం = 216 − 216 = 0.
