In February 1689 a Mughal force under Muqarrab Khan surprised Sambhaji and his minister Kavi Kalash at Sangameshwar (in present Ratnagiri district); they were then brought before Aurangzeb at his camp at Bahadurgad, so Bahadurgarh is where they were taken, not where they were captured.
