A watch loses 5 min in every 24 hours duration and another watch gains 3 min in the same duration. If both the watches show identical time 't' at a particular point of time, then by what time duration (in days) they both show the same identical time 't' again in near future ?

The two watches drift apart by 5 + 3 = 8 minutes every day, and to show the identical time 't' again (same hour and minute, including AM/PM) the gap between them must reach a full day of 24 × 60 = 1,440 minutes, which takes 1,440/8 = 180 days. On a plain 12-hour dial the hands would already match when the gap is 720 minutes, after 90 days, which is why some sources give option (1). (Official final key; some sources differ.)
