   By selling an article with a discount of 25% on its marked price, a trader gets a profit of 12 1/2%. If the discount is 30% on its marked price then the gain percent on its cost price is :

   Take the marked price as 120: at 25% discount the selling price is 90 = 112.5% of cost, so cost = 80. At 30% discount the selling price is 84, a gain of 4 on 80 = 5%.

   ప్రకటిత ధరను 120 గా తీసుకుందాం: 25% తగ్గింపుతో అమ్మిన ధర 90 = కొన్న ధరలో 112.5%, కాబట్టి కొన్న ధర = 80. 30% తగ్గింపుతో అమ్మిన ధర 84, అంటే 80 పై 4 లాభం = 5%.
