P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7 are seven different houses situated as described below. (i) P2 is 6 m. away from P1 in the South of P1. (ii) P3 is 15 m. away from P2 in the East of P2. (iii) P4 is 6√2 m. away from P3 in the North-East of P3. (iv) P5 is 14 m. away from P4 in the East of P4. (v) P6 is 6 m. away from P5 in the North of P5. (vi) P7 is 27 m. away from P6 in the West of P6. Then the shortest distance (in mts) between P7 and P1 is :

Take P1 = (0, 0): P2 = (0, -6), P3 = (15, -6), P4 = (21, 0) (6√2 north-east is 6 east and 6 north), P5 = (35, 0), P6 = (35, 6), P7 = (8, 6). So P7P1 = √(8² + 6²) = √100 = 10 m.
