   In a class, the ratio of the students who passed in an examination to those who failed in it is 7:2. Among the passed students, the rank of A is 23 from the top and the rank of B is 28 from the bottom. If all the students of the class appeared for the examination and the rank of B is 6 ranks below the rank of A then the number of students in the class is :

   సమాధానం: (3) 72

   B is 23 + 6 = 29th from the top and 28th from the bottom among the passed students, so passed = 29 + 28 - 1 = 56. Passed : failed = 7 : 2, so the class has 56 × 9/7 = 72 students (56 is only the number who passed).
