The wages of 3 boys are equal to the wages of 2 men. The amount of work done by 3 men is equal to the amount of work done by 5 boys. If 40 boys and 15 men worked for 8 weeks to complete a work and the total wages they got are equal to Rs.12,600 then the wages 20 boys and 20 men get to complete that work is (in rupees)

Take a boy's weekly wage as w, so a man gets 1.5w, and 1 man's work = 5/3 boys' work. The job is 8 × (40 + 15 × 5/3) = 520 boy-weeks and 8 × (40w + 22.5w) = 500w = 12,600, so w = 25.2. 20 boys + 20 men equal 53 1/3 boys, so they take 520 ÷ 53 1/3 = 9.75 weeks at 20w + 30w = 1,260 per week, i.e. 1,260 × 9.75 = 12,285.
