Krishna, Suresh and Raghava together started a business with the initial investments of ₹ 15,000, ₹ 18,000 and ₹ 20,000 respectively. After a year, Krishna and Suresh increased their investments by ₹ 5,000 and ₹ 2,000 respectively, while Raghava withdrew ₹ 5,000. After one more year, Krishna, Suresh and Raghava increased their investments by 20%, 25% and 40% respectively. It was decided that Raghava would receive 20% of the total profit received by them for his extra work and the rest of the profit would be distributed according to their investments. After 3 years, the total profit received by them was ₹ 53,400. If the extra profit received by Raghava was excluded, then find the ratio of profit shares of Krishna, Suresh and Raghava:

    1. 56 : 63 : 53
    2. 53 : 63 : 56
    3. 59 : 63 : 56
    4. 69 : 63 : 56

    1. 56 : 63 : 53
    2. 53 : 63 : 56

    Answer: (3) 59 : 63 : 56

    Capital × years (in ₹ thousand): Krishna 15 + 20 + 24 = 59, Suresh 18 + 20 + 25 = 63, Raghava 20 + 15 + 21 = 56. Leaving out Raghava's 20% for extra work, the rest is shared 59 : 63 : 56.
