Which of the following statement/statements is/are valid in connection with inflation? I. Cost-push inflation cycle of milk is becoming more and more pronounced in India. II. The Bharat Atta initiative of the Government has played a considerable role in containing wheat inflation in India. III. Retail Inflation has considerably increased in the beginning of 2024 owing to increasing commodity prices. IV. The Bharat Dal initiative has also been extended to include moong dal. Bharat Atta (subsidised wheat flour sold through NAFED, NCCF and Kendriya Bhandar) helped contain wheat inflation, and, as the key accepts, the Bharat Dal brand launched for chana dal in July 2023 was extended to moong dal; the key rejects I. It also accepts III, presumably because headline CPI inflation rose from 4.9% in October to 5.7% in December 2023 (data released in January 2024) on food prices, though it eased to 5.1% in January 2024, so III is doubtful.
