   The Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque was built by Qutb-ud-din Aibak in the 1190s, soon after the Ghurid conquest of Delhi. Iltutmish and Ala-ud-din Khalji only enlarged it later, which makes them tempting but wrong choices.
