   In a rural market there are two types of vendors, X and Y. 70 percent of the vendors are X, and 60% of the X earn ₹50,000 or more in a month. Total number of vendors who earn ₹50,000 or more per month in the rural market is 48 percent of the total vendors. What percentage of Y earn less than ₹50,000 ?

   Answer: 80%

   X earning ₹50,000 or more = 60% of 70% = 42% of all vendors, so Y contributes 48% − 42% = 6% of all vendors. Y is 30% of vendors, so 6/30 = 20% of Y earn ₹50,000 or more and 80% of Y earn less.
