The President may appoint a Governor of a State as the administrator of an adjoining Union Territory. Such Governor in the administration of Union Territory shall exercise his functions
రాష్ట్రపతి ఒక రాష్ట్ర గవర్నరును దానికి అధికారిగా నియమించి, పక్కనున్న యూనియన్ టేరిటరీకి సహితం నియమిస్తే, ఆ గవర్నరు యూనియన్ టెరిటరీలో తన విధులను నెరవేర్చ వచ్చు.

Article 239(2) says that a Governor appointed as administrator of an adjoining Union Territory shall exercise his functions as such administrator independently of his Council of Ministers.
