Chhatrasal, the Bundela leader, met Shivaji, who advised him to go back to Bundelkhand and organise local risings against Aurangzeb; he built up a principality there and, like the Marathas, collected chauth from the surrounding areas. In 1705 Aurangzeb chose to make peace with him and granted him a mansab of 4,000, so all three statements are correct.
