A person starts at a point A and travelled 13 meters towards North-East and then travelled 12 meters towards South and from there again travelled 13 meters towards North-East. From there he travelled a distance of 10 meters towards West and reached the final position B. Then the direction of A from B and distance of B from A are respectively

The numbers are built on a 5-12-13 right triangle, so each 13 m north-easterly walk is 5 m east and 12 m north: A(0, 0) -> (5, 12) -> 12 m south to (5, 0) -> (10, 12) -> 10 m west to B(0, 12). B is therefore 12 m due north of A, so A lies South of B and the distance is 12 m.
