Weaver (1954) devised the crop-combination method, later simplified by Doi, and S.S. Bhatia (1965) worked out indices of both crop diversification (also developed by Jasbir Singh) and crop concentration. Agricultural productivity is measured by methods such as Kendall's ranking coefficient (1939), and Majid Husain and Jasbir Singh also worked on measuring it.
