   Suresh invested Rs. 500 in SBI for 2 years. He also invested Rs. 300 in ICICI for 4 years. At the end he received Rs. 220 from both banks as simple interest. What must have been the rate of interest ?

   సురేశ్ రెండు సంవత్సరాలకు 500 ఎస్.బి.ఐ. లో పెట్టుబడి పెట్టాడు. ఐ.సి.ఐ.సి.ఐ. లో 300 నాలుగేళ్ళకు పెట్టాడు. చివరకు రూ. 220 మామూలు వడ్డీగా తీసుకొన్నాడు. వాటి వడ్డీ శాతం ఎంత?

   Answer: 10%

   సమాధానం: 10%

   Total SI = 500 × 2 × r/100 + 300 × 4 × r/100 = 10r + 12r = 22r. Setting 22r = 220 gives r = 10%.
