   There is a place A with longitude 060° West. There is another place B with longitude 090° East. If, local time at place A is 10 a.m, what would be local time at place B ?

   ‘ఏ’ అనే ప్రదేశం 060° పశ్చిమ రేఖాంశం పై ఉంది. అలాగే, ‘బి’ అనే ప్రదేశం 090° తూర్పు రేఖాంశం పై ఉంది. లోకల్ టైమ్ ‘ఏ’ లో పొద్దున్న 10, అయితే ‘బి’ లోకల్ టైమ్ ఎంత ?

   Longitude difference = 60° + 90° = 150°; at 4 minutes per degree this is 600 minutes = 10 hours, and B (to the east) is ahead, so 10 a.m. + 10 h = 8 p.m.
