Where can I get UPSC EPFO previous year question papers with answers?
This page has 359 questions from 3 UPSC recruitment tests for EPFO: Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC), held on 2 July 2023, and Enforcement Officer / Accounts Officer (EO/AO), held on 2 July 2023 and 5 September 2021. Every question is in English and Hindi as printed in the official booklet (Series A), apart from the General English part. Every answer is taken from UPSC's official answer key and every question has a short explanation. You can practise each paper question by question, subject-wise or as a timed test with one ₹45 PYQ Pass for every exam.
Are the answers official?
Yes. They come from UPSC's official answer keys for Series A, published on upsc.gov.in after each recruitment was completed. UPSC dropped no question in the 2023 papers; in the 2021 EO/AO paper it dropped Q71, which is left out. Where a keyed answer is debatable, the explanation says "(Official key; some sources differ.)". The explanations are written by Learn with Anil.
What is the UPSC EPFO exam pattern?
The recruitment test is one objective paper of 120 questions for 300 marks in two hours, in English and Hindi (the General English part in English only). A wrong answer costs one-third of the marks for that question. Candidates who qualify are called for an interview; the test and the interview are weighted 75:25. The syllabus covers General English, Indian freedom struggle, history and culture, current events and developmental issues, Indian polity and economy, general accounting principles, industrial relations and labour laws, social security in India, general science and computer applications, and general mental ability and quantitative aptitude. APFC and EO/AO have had separate papers on the same syllabus; in 2025 UPSC set one common paper for both posts.
Which labour law questions come in the EPFO exams?
The papers ask about the EPF & MP Act, the Employees' Compensation Act, the ESI Act, the Industrial Disputes Act, the Trade Unions Act, the Factories Act, the Mines Act, the Payment of Wages, Payment of Bonus and Minimum Wages Acts, the Contract Labour and Standing Orders Acts, the Building and Other Construction Workers Act, and ILO conventions. The four Labour Codes, in force since 21 November 2025, have since replaced most of these Acts; the explanations say where the law has changed after the exam.
Is the EPFO question paper available in Hindi?
Yes. Tap हिंदी at the top of the page to see every question and option of Part B in Hindi, exactly as printed in UPSC's booklet, with the explanation in Hindi. Part A (General English) is in English only.
Is there an EPFO mock test?
Yes. Open the mock test page and take a real APFC or EO/AO paper with a timer, or tap Create a quiz to choose subjects such as Labour Laws, Social Security or Accounting. You get your score, the official answer and an explanation for every question.
Do I need to register?
Only once, and it is free. Before your first quiz or test you enter your name, phone, email and district one time; after that one ₹45 PYQ Pass opens the previous papers of every exam for 12 months. There is no password.
